HOW DOES BRITAIN’S BEST FEMALE SKIER & DRAGONFLY'S BRAND AMBASSADOR, CHEMMY ALCOTT, FEEL HER BEST SELF DURING A DEMANDING WINTER SEASON ?

Christmas and New Year is a really busy time of year for most people but for Chemmy Alcott it’s especially hectic as she prepares for co-presenting the BBC’s Ski Sunday as the World Cup gets under way in January, and the Winter Olympic Games kicks off in February.

It’s fair to say that Chemmy is used to coping under high pressure. In her 20-year skiing career, she has competed in four Winter Olympics and eight FIS World Championships. She is seven times Overall Senior British National Champion and the first Briton to win a run in a World Cup race. She holds three Guinness World Records. Chemmy is also a busy mum to Locki, aged 4, and Cooper, aged 2.

However, success for Chemmy has come at a price. Aged 11, she broke her neck in a skiing accident, resulting in two vertebrae being fused together.

Altogether she has broken 47 bones, including shattering her right leg in an 80mph accident and a compound fracture of her fibula and open fraction of her tibia.

Her right leg has a 15-inch mental pin and nine screws through the bone. She has also had surgery for Anterior Cruciate Ligament tears. She has been very vocal in the past about the pain she experiences.

Early in 2021, Chemmy found herself with two months of alone time while filming Ski Sunday. Such a long time without her husband, children and day-to-day responsibilities was exceptionally rare for Chemmy, so she decided to really focus on herself and put her physical needs first. She took up yoga and started using Dragonfly CBD® regularly.

Chemmy explains “I couldn’t believe the difference it made. I felt more flexible, had no pain and my quality of sleep was so much better. It was a real life-changing time for me.”

She adds “I was always nervous about CBD because I didn’t really understand it and wasn’t sure if I could trust it, particularly when I was still competing. But then I discovered Dragonfly CBD® and I am such a believer! Dragonfly CBD® is backed by science and has the very best quality procedures in place. Every drop has a consistent and CBD within it, plus it is guaranteed to be THC free. And actually being THC free is essential to me but a lot of brands on the market are either not THC free or don’t contain CBD.

“My life has always been busy and I have always tried to be my best self. Dragonfly CBD® helps me lead the active life I want to, without being weighed down. And my quality of sleep is so much better, plus it has really helped me deal with what life can throw at us where juggling a 101 things is pretty normal for us all – kids, parenting, work and life. That’s why I swear by Dragonfly CBD®. It works for me.”
