Dark Chocolate & Coconut CBD Energy Bites

Best eaten as a post-workout boost or healthy alternative to dessert, these energy bites are a sure-fire way to get that replenishing dose of CBD in. Made with dates, chia seeds, dark chocolate and coconut oil, they’re packed full of antioxidants, minerals and nutrients. Taking this recipe beyond your average super-snack, though, is CBD – nature’s age-old remedy for fatigue.

Whether you’re hoping to push through those last few hours at work, do a couple of extra reps at the gym or just feel more energetic from one day to the next, clinical studies suggest CBD extract may be the way forward. Mental benefits include improved memory, sleep habits and mood, while physically speaking, CBD is proven to reduce inflammation, strengthen the immune system and bring forward the healing process.

Naturally, there are numerous ways of getting your daily hit of CBD, from pastes through vaping to holding oil under the tongue. However, actively incorporating Dragonfly oil into meals and snacks has its own unique advantages. While CBD takes slightly longer to enter the bloodstream via the digestive system, its mental and physical benefits typically last longer, meaning you’ll get a boost from these bites for hours. It’s important to remember that oil aids absorption too; we’ve gone for coconut to enhance flavour, but almond or avocado oil also work a treat.

No bake, vegan, dairy-free and packed justify of vitamins and minerals, these restorative bites are a great way for CBD-cooking novices and veterans alike to up their energy levels.
